Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, of Dominican descent, Marley bears her roots through her music. One can describe her music as an eclectic blend of soul, rhythm and pop. Marley is both a singer and songwriter, tackling her native tongues, English and Spanish. Her Dominican roots are deeply intertwined in her lyrics and tunes, via drums, guitar strings and other natal bohemian sounds.
Though the likes and comfort of a studio platform and stage performances are akin to Marley, “Free, I feel free when I perform in the subways, while connecting [intimately] with other humans” the tiny in size but mighty in voice Marley relays. Performing in the subways has allowed the young songstress to experiment with different sounds, collaborate with other performers — making way for media exposure and endless opportunities.
